Riann and 4 of her team mates were featured in an article in the Daily Bulletin newspaper, they won medals at the California State Taekwondo Championship and qualified for the National Junior Olympics to be held in San Jose this June 28-July 1, 2011.
Riann won Gold in Poomsae (forms) and a Silver in Kyorugi (Sparring), Lynette S. won Gold in Forms, Patrick A. Bronze in Forms. Tamara S. and Indra N. both also qualified.
Second District Supervisor Janice Rutherford of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors presented the 5 competitors with certificate in appreciation for their courageous effort and for representing California in the upcoming National Junior Olympics.
So there's a total of 11 kids now that's going to compete in San Jose. Good Luck everyone !!!.
